Über Jemma
I am 21 years old this year, and have lived in three different continents already! I hope to keep adding to that list. I want to travel the globe teaching English and leaving fun behind for my students. I love sharing my knowledge since knowledge is power, and communication is key to a successful life. English is the Lingua Franca so its imperative to be able to use this language in your professional and private life to broaden your opportunities. I have great personal relation skills as I have worked as a receptionist here in Graz so I am able to communicate in German in case there is any confusion. I am also great with children as my sister is 8 years old and we are as close as two peas in a pod! I am also the eldest cousin (and the most fun) in my family.

My teaching techniques consist of primarily the Communicative language teaching (CLT) which focuses more on the fluency of communication in english instead of accuracy at the beginning. As my student improves we integrate vocabulary lists fortified by fun activities and games to make the learning more fun. To me the most important thing is to make sure my student has fun and looks forward to our lessons, therefore they will enjoy and engage with any extra homework or projects and have a positive recall. Happiness is the best learning tool in my opinion.
