Über Enda
Originally from Ireland, I now live in Heidelberg-Kirchheim. I have worked in business translation, financial controlling, and management accounting in Germany, the UK, and the USA for more than 25 years. Having worked for several years as a Technical Translator at a major German software company, I am familiar with the difficulties that German-speakers encounter when speaking and presenting in English. I'm interested in travel, sport, history, geography, people, places and things. I previously lived in Munich and Cologne. My wife is from Neu-Ulm in Bavaria and we have a 22-year-old son. I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree, I am TEFL-certified, and I can help you achieve your objectives in English either online or face-to-face. We cover the typical business situations: interviews, e-mails, presentations, meetings, proposals, offers, job descriptions, reports, telephone calls, negotiations. We look at typical business fields: finance, human resources, sales, purchasing, marketing and IT, and we cover all the relevant vocabulary and phrases. You will have lots of practice in the form of conversation, role-plays, and writing. I will encourage you to speak as much as possible. We will cover the grammar points that arise, and I will be happy to help with presentations or any other assignments you may have.
