I am a Canadian living in Germany and I am a native English speaker. I
have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Studies and I have a strong background in English literature. I am a world traveller — I have lived in four different countries in my lifetime. I am a storyteller, a filmmaker and a lover of the arts.

I like to use film, with the help of English closed captioning, to help the student with learning the English language. In English, we would then discuss the films, and also analyze the scripts. Through this engaging and enjoyable process, learning is relaxed and fun, and supports learning from various angles: watching english native speakers converse on screen, reading their conversation in closed caption, reviewing the script with scene direction and dialogue, and then finally the teacher and student discussing the film together.
