Über Caroline
I am a professional choreographer and dancer with over ten years of experience. I trained at the School of American Ballet in New York and was a coryphée with the Semperoper Ballett Dresden. I hold a Masters in Choreography from the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz and have shown my own work internationally and in Germany. I am currently based in Berlin and Dresden.

When teaching dance and/or choreography, I combined the knowledge I have accumulated through working in various fields, styles, and with different choreographers into an approach that is fluid, somatic, and dynamic. When teaching classical ballet, I combine my training in the Balanchine, my experience dancing the classics such as Swan Lake and La Bayadere, and my experience working with neo-classical choreographers such as William Forsythe and David Dawson into a class that focuses on musicality, complex coordination, embodiment, and the use of space. In my contemporary class I use a combination of improvised tasks focusing on somatic processes and set choreographic phrases focusing on floor work, weight transfer, and a use of spirals. In composition I can offer a wide breadth of tools that I use in my own work and combine the use of voice, writing, music, and work with material to form a multi-disciplinary approach to composition.
