I’ve had a few lessons with Dina virtually. I am an intermediate player who’s played since childhood but never felt a grasp of technique, especially with the bow. I had heard Dina play solo and with friends’ musical projects over the years and always admired her tone, intonation and ease in different styles. My tone is vastly improved since working with her. Moreover, Dina has been particularly great at inspiring inquiry into whatever issue I’m tackling - what’s going on? What would happen if I changed X, Y, or Z variable? That curiosity has unlocked a (seemingly) bottomless well of potential strategies, exercises, play. It means that I can go a long time between lessons and still be learning. And there is so much to learn!
