Über Rodrigo
I am currently finishing a bachelor in physics in Leipzig University and will start a masters in artificial intelligence this year. Previously I studied applied mathematics.
For many years now I have used programming for different tasks: health statistics, computer simulation, linear programming and optimization, statistical physics and agent based modeling.
During my science studies I have written some publications and a lot of laboratory reports in which clarity and presentation where as important as the results to be presented. That's why I know how important a good and efficient workflow is! I believe programming and software tools in general are an invaluable skill to learn for almost any subject nowadays.

I don't have professional experience in teaching, but I have been giving seminar on computer science since I started my physics bachelor almost 3 years ago. Unfortunately many course of studies do not take seriously enough the programming and software skills that are required to be a proficient scientist and logical thinker. The reality is that nowadays a scientist can't afford to fear computers.
I offer an introduction into the amazing world of programming and algorithms through several books and software that have helped me throughout my scientific career. I can also adapt the course's material to the student's specific needs (specific science area per example).
The classes are interactive and full of challenging exercises that will allow the student to make progress as fast as possible without having to wait weeks before getting their hand into real problems.
My current (and preferred workflow so far) includes Python, Jupiter Lab, Latex, Notion and Google Drive.
I have experience with R, but is not in my toolbox at the moment since my current needs are not statistical. We can also work with it if required : )
No previous knowledge is necessary!
Since the most important scientific and computational research is happening in English, I strongly recommend to take the course in English, although Spanisch or French are also possible. Hope to hear from you soon!
