Über Nisanka
i am originally from Sri Lanka and have been living in Germany for the past 21 years. I have a masters degree in the Humanities from the Free university in Berlin, as well as a teachers course certificate from the Goethe institut in Berlin. I speak Sinhala, Hindi, little bit of Spanish and of course English. I find it very easy to navigate in different cultures and i like activities that expand my physical and mental horizons - like, yoga!

I conduct German language classes for beginners (A1 - B1) both online as well as personally in Trier. I have completed a Teachers' course (DLL) at Goethe Institut in Berlin to teach German as a foreign language to adults. My method of teaching is to enable you to successfully communicate in German, both speaking as well as writing, even as beginners. My objective is to make you feel comfortable and confident in communicating in German, and above all to enjoy the language.
Getting comfortable with the German language in the initial stage is the key to successful communication and above all it should be enjoyable.
My lessons are directed towards practical situations and how to navigate them using the German language even at beginner's level, so that your lived experience in a German-speaking context is enriched.
