Über Embla
I am a Swedish singer and vocal coach based in Berlin, and I attained a Bachelor's Degree in Vocals and a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of West London and BIMM University Berlin. When I am not teaching I am performing live myself as a singer with my two bands, and I do session work for other artists.
Except for vocal coaching, I work with artists around Berlin in the studio when they are recording their vocals, to ensure that they get the result they want.
The only thing I have been wanting to do since I was a child was to sing, and I love to help other people find joy and strength in their voices.

I strive to have a creative focus during the lessons, as well as of course focusing on proper vocal techniques. Except for technique, I specialize in vocal performance and emotional delivery in vocal performance, which is something that we will talk about during our lessons as well, especially if you are a performing vocalist. I teach contemporary vocals in any genre, everything from rock to musical theatre and pop.
During the lessons, we will always start with warming up, and then either you will bring a song or I will present a song for you to sing. We will listen to the artist in questions, learn and talk about what makes them sound like themselves, and then try it out. Learning through mimicking is not only a great way to learn and understand singing, but it is also so much fun. We will of course go through breathing techniques, vocal effects, and stylistic choices in singing as well.
I have been in music institutes since the age of 10, so I know what a vocalist is looking for in a vocal coach/teacher. I bring a lot of passion, knowledge, and excitement to my lessons to ensure that you will learn as much as possible, and be as confident as you can with your voice. My lessons are a safe space for learning and exploring your voice.
All ages and levels are welcome! I teach in English and Swedish.
