Über Muhammad Haris
Hello! I'm Haris, a mathematics tutor with over five years of online teaching experience and more than 1,250 lessons delivered. I hold a BSc in Mathematics and am currently completing a master's in Mathematical Modelling in Engineering.
I teach mathematics from primary school through university level: IB, IGCSE, GCSE, O/A Levels, Edexcel, AP and SAT, Pre Calculus, plus competition preparation (AMC, olympiad). At university level I cover calculus, linear algebra, differential equations . I also work with professionals moving into data science who need the underlying mathematics, linear algebra and calculus, explained properly rather than skipped over.

Lessons are one-to-one, online, in English, on a digital whiteboard we both write on.
I usually start by asking you to attempt a problem while I watch. That tells me in five minutes what a diagnostic quiz wouldn't tell me in an hour, whether the gap is the current topic or something two years underneath it. From there we work through problems together: you do the writing and I intervene when you stall, rather than you watching me solve things.
If you have an exam date, we work from past papers and I train the specific question types and the mark-scheme habits that lose people points. If you're trying to understand a course properly, we go slower and build from the definitions up, because most difficulty at this level comes from a definition that was never made concrete.
Between lessons I send targeted problems and mark them, so you arrive with something specific to fix. Questions are always welcome mid-lesson, if something doesn't make sense, that's the most useful thing you can tell me.
