Über Kerem
I am a PhD in Philosophy (to be awarded this fall), specializing in the philosophy of mind, phenomenology and perception. I also have side interests in food ethics, animal minds and ethics, along with the history of philosophy.
TUTORING
I have been tutoring undergraduates for years consisting of the following:
-analytical essay writing,
-philosophy and logic assignments,
-recitations sessions throughout the semester,
-proofreading and styling written papers and homework.
I also taught in the academy as a Teaching Assistant on the philosophy of mind, epistemology and the philosophy of Immanuel Kant both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
COUNSELLING
I draw a roadmap for each client for counselling sessions, transferring my academic training in critical and analytic thinking in a way in which it can help non-philosophers to be decent thinkers. Being a decent thinker involves being relatively good at identifying and analyzing explicit and implicit arguments and utilizing this in the everyday deeds of an individual.
This enables my clients to develop a unique understanding of themselves and their lives. The first session of counselling is for free to give a better sense to the client about how philosophical practice would work.

I give lessons in a structure that I prepare according to each student's needs and exactly what they want.
I transfer my academic teaching experience over the years to one-to-one tutoring sessions.
Courses are shaped according to the individual needs of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.
Counselling sessions aim at introducing and developing analytic and critical thinking skills within the needs of the individual. The expected outcome of philosophical counselling is to enable the individual to cope better with and maintain motivation for everyday issues in life.
The need for philosophical counselling does not arise only from a perceived situation of discomfort but from the desire to improve one's life by means of philosophical reflection.
Please note that PHILOSOPHICAL COUNSELLING IS NOT PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELLING. It is not a form of psychotherapy. I help people to think about themselves independently and implement this skill positively in their lives.
