Über Marshall
Hallo!
I'm Marshall, a professional violinist & teacher. I have been playing the violin for almost twenty-five years and teaching for ten.
I hold a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music & Master of Music Performance from the Royal Danish Academy of Music. I have been living in Berlin since early 2026 and frequently play with some of the most prestigious orchestras throughout Australia, Germany & Scandinavia.
Some of the orchestras I have played with are:

I have also taught privately and through primary school systems for the past 10 years. I have had many students successfully complete exams with highest marks and entrance into top conservatories worldwide.

Please Note: Lessons are only taught in English.
Whether you want to take music lessons seriously or for leisure, I always aim for the highest standard, whilst making the lessons enjoyable and relaxed. I am able to help you prepare for:
- Auditions (schools, youth orchestra, university entrance, orchestral jobs)
- Exams
- Your personal goals
I strongly believe that building a solid technical foundation is important for students at any level. My lessons always begin with scales, exercises and studies/etudes, before working on repertoire.
My goal is to create a comfortable, friendly environment as I think this is the best way to learn.
I teach from my place in Neukölln, Berlin and also offer online lessons (typically for intermediate - advanced students only).
