Über Monica
My name is Monica Mhangwana. I believe I am on this earth to serve, heal, and inspire others through my gift of singing.
I am passionate about empowering you. My goal is to create a positive, safe environment for learning and experimentation, where we work on your specific goals for your vocal journey. We will build your technique and your stage performance skills, step by step, with patience, grace, and positivity.
As singers, we don’t just sing beautiful notes; we tell stories, we awaken emotions, and we transport people with our voices into new worlds. We let them feel something!
I want you to believe in yourself and trust yourself. You must feel capable. You can achieve everything you dream of. I want to show you how strong and capable you are of reaching your singing goals.
This belief is the core of my life's work as a classically trained, versatile professional singer and vocal teacher from Pretoria, South Africa. I sing in genres that range from Classical, Opera, and Pop, to RnB, Gospel, Jazz, and Afro-Jazz styles. I sing regular recitals and concerts in oratorio, classical, and opera styles here in Germany.
I have experience collaborating with orchestras, jazz big-bands, choirs, and pop & jazz bands. I have won international awards, both individually and as part of various ensembles on South African and international stages. I have toured with music ensembles to Singapore, Bangkok, Cape Town, Belgium, Amsterdam, Namibia, Austria, Latvia, France, and the Seychelles. I have been blessed to share stages with incredible artists such as Ami Faku, MiCasa, Charl du Plessis, Katlego Maboe, Coenie De Villiers, Thembeka Mnguni, Zoë Modiga, William Berger, Matthew Mole, Timothy Moloi, Jonathan Roxmouth, Monde Msutwana, Josh Bouwer, Ian von Memerty, Zonke, Lloyd Cele, and the famous Swedish a-cappella ensemble The Real Group. I share all of this not for accolades, but to show you that I walk this path with you. I am here to share what I have learned and what I continue to learn every day. I am here to help you find your power.

I follow a holistic approach to singing that connects body, mind, soul, emotions, and the voice. My lessons are a positive, safe space dedicated entirely to you and your goals. We will work on:
· Your Personal Goals: Whether you dream of being a performer, a songwriter, or simply want to sing for the pure joy of music.
· Vocal Technique: Building a strong foundation so you can sing with confidence and move your audience. We'll expand your vocal range, improve agility, dynamics, vocal colours, breathing, resonance, and articulation.
· Confidence & Self-Belief: Cultivating trust in yourself and in your ability to learn and grow. Your mindset is just as important as your technique! We will do all of this while having fun!

Als ich ihr Konzert zum ersten Mal hörte, wurde mein Interesse geweckt, von ihr singen zu lernen. Ich bin eine Klavier Studentin in der Musikhochschule. Wir lernten uns kennen und planten, Kurse zu besuchen.
Als ich zum ersten Mal bei Monica unterrichtete, fühlte ich mich sehr gesund und angenehm. Ich war Anfängerin und Monica hat mir viel über den Körper beigebracht, was gut ist, wie man sich fühlt, was beim Singen wichtig ist, viele Ideen und wie man sehr aktiv singt, ich wollte mehr lernen und dann wurde ich besser. Nicht nur Erfahrung, sondern auch ein gesundes Gefühl bringt unseren Körper zum Singen.
