Über Ido
My name is Ido, and I have been dancing Cuban salsa and Afro-Cuban dances for around 18 years, with more than a decade of teaching experience. I have studied with many renowned Cuban instructors, both internationally and in Cuba itself, and I continue to deepen my understanding of dance, movement, and technique.
I teach in Berlin & Internationally. I am the director of La Candela Salsa School, where we also offer group classes, workshops, and events. I am also the creator and director of the Salsayo project, a worldwide encyclopedia dedicated to Cuban salsa movements and dance knowledge.
I am passionate about sharing not only the joy of dance, but also strong technique, musicality, body movement, and a deeper understanding of how dance works. Over the years, I have taught countless students of all levels, and I strongly believe that with the right guidance, everyone can learn to dance and continue improving their own unique style and expression.

Private and private group lessons are tailored specifically to you and offer the most effective progress a student can achieve. Pricing varies depending on the number of students participating in the lesson.

We cover all essential steps, leading and following techniques, partner connection, and the fine details needed to build a strong foundation in salsa.
Developing rhythm and musical timing
If you struggle to stay on rhythm, we have developed a specialized process to help build musicality and timing. This method is supported by music theory, current research on rhythm perception, and years of practical teaching experience.
Body movement and isolation
Improving body movement and isolation is the foundation of advanced movement quality. We can work on specific body parts and provide both the theoretical understanding and practical tools needed to improve movement control and expression.
