Über Kayra
My name is Kayra, and I currently study Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zürich. I really enjoy my studies and love learning about the world through reading, travelling, and meeting new people. In my free time, I enjoy painting, watching movies, and doing musical theatre.
English has always been a language I have connected to - whether it be in books, movies or theater. I have come to love all the ways you can express yourself and all the different people you can connect with by speaking English.
With me, you will find a supportive and comfortable environment where you can ask questions freely, work through difficulties, and explore ideas without pressure. I’m also happy to provide support outside of our regular lessons, so you can always reach out if you have a question.

I believe that the best way of learning a language is applying it. Through my two years of experience in tutoring English, I have discovered different strategies to make learning English easier and more efficient. I always start my classes with a warm-up discussion to get into the flow of the class, followed by a written English and grammar section where we go over the core concepts and vocabulary of the week. Then I continue with a more intensive speaking part, with active participation from my students and interesting discussion, where we apply the concepts from the section before. Through interactive teaching, I try to make my classes as interesting as possible, while also being efficient with time to optimize the learning process.
I offer classes for anyone who is a beginner or intermediate in English, looking to improve their language skills and gain more confidence in speaking.
I look forward to providing support for any interested students who are looking to improve their English in a fun environment, where asking questions are encouraged and there is no judgement whatsoever:)
