Über Albrecht
Hi!
My name is Albrecht Bake, and despite the very teutonic name, I am a bit of a melting pot: my father was German, my mother is Bolivian, and I was born in Colombia.
As a family we traveled all over the world, with stays in Colombia, Brasil, Bolivia and Egypt.
I work as Creative Director in advertising and spent the larger part of my career in Colombia, where I worked with international clients. I am now working as a freelancer in Germany.
My passions (other than advertising) include cinema, reading (mostly Sci-Fi) and music.
English has always been my go-to language, simply because when I was a kid the books I wanted to read and the movies I wanted to watch were all in English, and later on, in my professional endeavours, it was the lingua franca of business.

I am more focused on advanced levels and like to keep my classes loose and spontaneous.
The objective is to get you comfortable with the language and train both your ear and your brain to understand English.
Ideally we'll discuss current topics, movies, books, trends, and just about anything that catches our fancy. For that effect I will always prepare topics beforehand to share and review in class, or send it in advance as material for discussion on the next class. Together we will resolve any doubts on vocabulary or comprehension, as well as go over pronunciation.My aim is to make a fun and rewarding experience.
Learning shouldn't be boring.
