Über Aelita
Hi! I’m Aelita, a 21-year-old university student currently living in Berlin!
A little about me: I studied in Russia and am now pursuing my Bachelor’s degree at the American University of Central Asia, where all my courses are taught entirely in English. I’m currently spending a semester abroad at Freie Universität Berlin through the Erasmus+ exchange program
I have experience working at English language schools, including English Zone, where I helped students of different ages improve their English through interactive activities, discussions, games, and speaking practice. I know how frustrating it can be when you understand English but struggle to express your thoughts. That’s why I focus on creating a comfortable, friendly environment where you can practice speaking without worrying about making mistakes.
I also love making lessons personal! Whether you’re into movies, music, pop culture, traveling, or something completely different, we can build our lessons around YOUR interests. Learning English should feel like having an interesting conversation, not another boring school assignment.
A few fun facts about me:
• I’m a huge pop culture enthusiast and love discussing movies, music, and TV shows.
• I love traveling, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures.
• I speak Russian and English, so I’m especially happy to help Russian-speaking students feel more confident using English.

Hi! I’m an English tutor with experience working at language schools, where I’ve taught and facilitated English classes for children, teenagers and adults at different levels.
My teaching approach is all about making English feel natural, practical, and enjoyable. I believe that learning a language should be more than just memorizing grammar rules and completing exercises; it’s about actually using the language and feeling confident when speaking! That’s why I like the idea of learning through mental grammar.
In my lessons, I focus on:
• Real-life communication: Practicing English through everyday conversations, discussions, and situations you’ll actually encounter.
• Interactive learning: Using games, debates, quizzes, music, and creative activities to make lessons engaging.
• Speaking confidence: Creating a relaxed and supportive environment where making mistakes is part of learning.
• Personalized lessons: Adapting activities and materials to your interests, goals, and English level.
Having worked with Russian-speaking students, I understand the common challenges they face when learning English. As a native Russian speaker myself, I can explain difficult concepts in Russian when needed while encouraging you to speak as much English as possible.
Whether you’re looking to improve your conversational English, overcome your fear of speaking, or simply make language learning more enjoyable, I’d love to help!
