Über Therese
Hi there! Call me Therese. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in education, majoring in English. Since 2016, I have taught English to Japanese, Taiwanese und Vietnamese learners online. Currently, I'm learning the German language so I understand the challenges we face when expressing our thoughts and ideas in a foreign language. Because I experienced teaching English from children to professional adults with different cultural backgrounds, and now as a learner of the German language in a diverse classroom setting, I could say I have become more receptive and adaptive to people's ideas and expectations. Thus, my teaching method is tailored according to individuals’ needs.

One of the most effective ways to improve language acquisition is through spontaneous speech. I believe learning a language without application is like pouring water into a leaky container. Therefore, I ensure that students get to speak more than I do during the lesson. Active listening also plays an important role in progressing faster. Because communication is a two-way process, it is also important to note that students should be able to understand what they hear to converse effectively. If the students are beginners, textbooks or any learning materials are necessary. However, if they have already grasped the foundation of the language, online news articles or topic discussions are great for engaging lessons. I also love tutoring kids and always make sure that the lesson is fun and interactive. So, whether you are looking for an English tutor for your kids, a teen who needs help with their essays and other written works, or an adult who wants to improve your Spoken-English, I'd love to be around you.
