Über Alma
I was born into a musical family in Montepulciano, Italy, and began learning the cello at the age of 8 with my mother, a cellist and teacher. From an early age, I was immersed in music, performing in children's orchestras and choirs, and taking part in the Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano. After moving to Basel, Switzerland, I continued my musical education at the Musikakademie, where I had several opportunities to perform as a soloist with an orchestra.
Throughout my studies, including at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Switzerland and the Royal Academy of Music in London, I was fortunate to learn from professors who emphasized that music goes far beyond technique. Music, for me, is a way to connect with oneself on a deeper level. In my teaching, I adopt a coaching approach where the focus is not only on developing musical skills but also on fostering personal growth, self-confidence, and emotional expression. I believe that through music, students can gain a better understanding of themselves and develop resilience and confidence that extends beyond the instrument.
Additionally, I have explored Music and Movement and integrate these elements into my lessons. I believe in a creative and holistic approach to teaching, which includes singing, movement, and interactive exercises to make learning engaging and dynamic. This approach helps students connect with music on a deeper level and enhances their overall musical experience.
I am also passionate about the healing power of music and plan to pursue a degree in music therapy. My goal is to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students can explore their musicality while also developing their inner strength and confidence.

My lessons are designed to be engaging, creative, and tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. I adopt a holistic teaching approach that goes beyond traditional techniques, incorporating elements of music and movement to create a dynamic and enjoyable learning experience. Whether you are a child or an adult, a beginner or an advanced player, I will create a personalized learning plan to help you achieve your musical aspirations.
For younger students, I use singing, movement, and interactive activities to make learning fun and to help them connect with music in a playful and meaningful way. This method fosters a love for music and helps build a strong foundation in rhythm, melody, and expression.
For older students and adults, I focus on developing technical skills, musical interpretation, and personal expression. I use a coaching approach to encourage self-confidence and emotional growth, ensuring that each lesson is not only about improving as a musician but also about personal development.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, my lessons aim to inspire and motivate you, providing a supportive environment where you can explore your musical potential and develop resilience and confidence through music.
Lessons are available online and can be conducted in English, German, or Italian.
