Über Oliver
I come from Dublin, Ireland, where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science in 2021. I have lived in Berlin since 2022 and am about to finish a two-year MA in Global History at FU and HU Berlin. During this time I have served as a member of the editorial team of the Global History Student Journal, where I have been entrusted with the content and copy editing of journal submissions.
Having honed my academic writing for seven years, I pride myself in my ability to produce clear, concise and polished texts. As someone who has advanced to C2 German, I also know the challenges of perfecting one's writing in a foreign language and have first-hand experience of which teaching methods work better than others. I strongly believe that anyone is capable of writing well if given the proper guidance, and I take joy in helping others master this important skill.

Need to write a lengthy academic text (such as a thesis) in English? As an experienced writer and editor with a humanities background, I can teach you the all the elements of concise and polished style, helping you to articulate your research and ideas with all the clarity they deserve.
As far as writing is concerned, I do not believe in "one size fits all" solutions. Therefore, my lessons typically consist of me giving you specially tailored writing assignments to complete. I will then give you comprehensive feedback and advice on the aspects where your style can be improved. I am also happy to provide assistance on specific areas (e.g. English citation conventions) if requested.
