Über Mahak
Mahak Sadeghzadeh is an iranian composer (Tehran) whose music is inspired by visual arts and everyday urban life. Her works focus on finding connections between electronic and acoustic sonic worlds. In 2021 she won the Javan festival 2021 with her composition for Flute and Piano La Plaine, and her pieces have been also recognized by other institutions such as ICEBERG Festival, ULJUS (International Composition Competiton), MATA jr. and Reconsil 2024. In addition, her piece Screamming under the water along side multiple performances, has been programed in IMPULS Festival minuten Kozert in Graz, Austria , and her other pieces has been played in USA, Iran, Germany, France and Austria. She recently finished her Bachelor degree under the supervision of Franck Bedrossian in Kunstuniversität Graz in Austria, and has taken masterclasses with outstanding composers such as Clemens Gadenstätter, Beat Furrer, Chaya Czernowin, Marco Stroppa, Dmitri Kourliandski, Francesco Filidei , Clara Iannota, Jérome Combier and Johannes Maria Staud. In 2023 and 2025 she attended Impuls Festival, MBZ Zagreb 2023 Festival, Mantova Open Space Music Academy and ManiFeste 2024 in IRCAM, Paris. She is currently studying at CNSMDP (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris), as part of the ERASMUS Program with the supervision of Frédéric Durieux, and studies electronic music under the supervision of Yan Maresz and Luis Naon, and will start her Master studies from October 2025, continuing in the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, in Austria.

Composition, Music Theory, Instrumentation & Harmony Lessons
Hi! I’m Mahak, a composition student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG). I offer personalized lessons in:
Music Composition – from your first sketches to complete pieces
Music Theory – understanding the foundations of music
Harmony – functional harmony, chromaticism, and beyond
Instrumentation & Orchestration – writing effectively for instruments and ensembles
Whether you’re just starting or want to deepen your knowledge, I adapt each lesson to your needs and interests. I love helping students find their own musical voice and build a strong technical base.
I’m also familiar with experimental and contemporary styles, and I can include creative approaches in our lessons.
