Über Peter
Hello, I am Peter, a 30-year-old jazz pianist, composer, and music teacher. My musical journey began with classical piano as a child, but after around ten years, I discovered my passion for jazz. I have studied in Austria and Finland, where I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees as a jazz musician and educator. I have had the opportunity to perform all across Europe and the USA, and I am still actively performing in various lineups and bands. Alongside performing and the creative process behind the scenes, I am dedicated to teaching students of all ages and levels, sharing my knowledge of music. In Finland, my Master's studies focused on pedagogy, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of how to work with students to help them reach their personal goals in music.

As a teacher, my goal is to make the process of learning the piano both enjoyable and easy to follow, while still being fruitful. Everyone is different, so I tailor my lessons to the unique needs of each student. I adjust my approach based on the student’s age, experience, and goals, ensuring that each session is productive and engaging. In addition to technique, I’m happy to incorporate elements of classical or jazz music theory, musical improvisation, basic composition, and ear training—depending on the student’s interests. Whether you're a complete beginner, an intermediate player refining your skills, or an advanced student preparing for exams or performances, my lessons are designed to help you grow confidently at your own pace.
