Über Yong Ju
I do not teach Korean as a language to “try lightly and drop easily.”
My approach to Korean education began with a simple but serious question:
What language do people abroad actually think in?
Having lived overseas for many years, I have seen many learners who speak,
but struggle to think deeply or express their ideas clearly —
caught between languages without fully mastering either.
That is why I teach Korean not just as a speaking skill,
but as a tool for thinking, reading, and expressing oneself.
At the beginner level (A1–A2),
I focus on building a solid foundation in Hangul, pronunciation,
and sentence structure — slowly, clearly, and with purpose.
As learners progress, lessons naturally move toward
reading, writing, discussion, and critical thinking.
Korean becomes not just a foreign language,
but a language you can think in.
I value commitment and intention more than speed.
My lessons are for learners who want to go beyond surface-level fluency
and are willing to engage seriously with the language.
Whether your goal is
studying at a Korean university,
working in a Korean company,
preparing for TOPIK II,
or starting from an interest in Korean culture —
what matters most is the desire to truly learn.
I am not a tutor who simply fills an hour.

Hello, my name is Yongju Chung, a native Korean language tutor based in Vienna.
I currently teach Korean at a Korean heritage school and specialize in helping learners move beyond basic conversation toward reading, writing, and higher-level Korean proficiency.
I teach:
A1–A2: Hangul, pronunciation, reading skills, basic sentence structures
B1 and above: Reading comprehension, writing, discussion, and critical thinking
TOPIK II preparation, university-oriented Korean, and professional Korean
My lessons integrate Korean culture and real-world context, including:
Korean society, economy, politics, and business culture
Literature, books, music, and food culture
Writing and logical expression, not just speaking
With over 20 years of experience in global Korean companies, I can also support learners who aim to:
Study at a Korean university
Work in a Korean company
Develop professional or academic Korean
I also work closely with expatriate families, 1.5–2nd generation learners, and students who want to strengthen their Korean identity and academic language skills.
