Über Eleanor
Hello! My name is Eleanor, I am from Cambridge, UK and British English is my native language. I have a first-class bachelor's degree in International Business and Spanish from a British university. I have experience teaching in many countries such as the UK, Spain, Italy and Slovenia and am currently working near Würzburg with the British Council, teaching in a local Realschule. I am CELTA certified from Cambridge English and have further training in Business English. I am able to teach all levels in General, Business and Medical English. I also have experience in preparing students for a variety of exams including IELTS, TOEFL, OET, other university entrance exams and high school exams.

I love teaching via the communicative approach and believe when students learn in an engaging and encouraging environment, their confidence and therefore English will flourish. There is no such thing as a stupid question and I encourage my students to be curious about the ‘why’. Having learnt languages myself, I understand the most important skill is your ability to communicate clearly. As I focus on building confidence in all skills, particularly speaking, the classes are held in English to get you communicating and thinking like a native. I approach grammar in a context which you can understand and take explanations slowly, to ensure your understanding and ability to produce the grammar accurately.
