Über Joseph
Hello! I’m a native English speaker living in Frankfurt with a strong interest in language, pronunciation, and clear communication.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Florida State University and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Indiana University. My classical singing and opera training included extensive work with diction, phonetics, and precise pronunciation, which has given me a very trained ear for spoken language.
I am patient, supportive, and attentive to each student’s individual needs. Many learners already know English well but want to sound clearer and feel more natural and confident when speaking — this is exactly what I aim to help with.
I believe learning works best in a calm, encouraging environment where you can speak freely without fear of mistakes. My goal is to help you build confidence step by step while keeping lessons practical and enjoyable.

In my lessons, I focus on natural spoken English, clear pronunciation, and building real speaking confidence.
A typical session begins with relaxed conversation so I can listen carefully to your speech patterns, rhythm, and pronunciation. From there, I identify one or two key areas that will make the biggest difference for clarity and natural flow. We then work on these sounds or patterns in a focused but practical way — using short exercises, examples, and guided speaking practice. I give clear, supportive feedback without interrupting too much, so you can stay relaxed while improving.
My background includes strong training in phonetics and diction, which allows me to hear subtle pronunciation details and explain them in a simple, understandable way. I pay attention not only to individual sounds, but also to stress, rhythm, and intonation — the elements that make speech sound natural and confident.
My lessons are ideal for adult learners, professionals, and anyone who wants to improve accent clarity, speaking confidence, or overall fluency. All levels are welcome, and sessions can be adapted to your specific goals.
Lessons are available in person in Frankfurt or online, depending on your preference.
My goal is to create a calm and supportive environment where you feel comfortable speaking, experimenting, and improving step by step.
