Über Emma
I am a native British English speaker with a university degree in History. I am passionate about languages, communication, and helping others build confidence when speaking English. I am also learning new languages myself, which gives me a clear understanding of the challenges students face.
I enjoy creating structured but relaxed lessons where students feel comfortable and supported. Outside of teaching, I have a strong interest in history, jogging, podcasts, video games, and current affairs, and I enjoy using these topics in lessons to make conversations more natural, engaging, and relevant to students’ interests.

I am a native British English speaker with a university degree in History, offering friendly, structured and supportive online English lessons for learners of all levels.
My teaching style focuses on building confidence and fluency through conversation. I believe the best way to learn a language is by using it actively, and from my own experience of learning languages, I understand how difficult it can be to find real opportunities to practice. My lessons are therefore designed to help you speak as much as possible in a relaxed, flexible and encouraging environment. Mistakes are a natural part of learning, and I gently correct them by modeling natural English during conversation, helping you improve your vocabulary, pronunciation and fluency step by step.
Lessons are always adapted to your individual goals. We can focus on topics relevant to your life, use structured materials for targeted practice, or explore new discussion topics each lesson to develop your confidence and spontaneity in English. I believe language learning is most effective when it is meaningful, interesting and connected to your real life.
I am patient, approachable and understanding, especially if you feel nervous or unsure about speaking English. As a language learner myself, I understand these challenges and aim to create a supportive space where you can build confidence at your own pace.
My lessons are ideal for adults and teenagers who want to improve their spoken English for everyday life, work or general confidence. Beginners are very welcome, and I will guide you step by step as you start your English learning journey.
All lessons are conducted in English. I also have varying levels of familiarity with German, Mandarin, and French.

There are no additional costs for materials, and all lessons are conducted via a simple browser-based video link (Digital Samba) with no installation or account required for students.
