Über Lucy
I’m degree-educated with a BSc Business & Spanish 2:1 from the University of London and hold a Level 3 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. My lessons are dynamic, interactive and never dull! We’ll use a mix of videos, real articles, role plays and conversation to make sure learning feels fresh and practical. I like to keep things flexible and personal - I’ll ask for feedback along the way so we can shape the lessons to what actually works for you. Homework will be manageable but challenging enough to keep your progress steady. We’ll also agree in advance how many hours a week you do homework - I appreciate life can be busy at times and plans change.

Hello, I’m Lucy. I’m from Oxford, where I lived for the first 22 years of my life, so my accent is the traditional "Queen’s English" (although I don't have a crown!). I now live in Germany with my young daughter and husband. Learning German myself, I know how tough it can be to learn a new language!
I’ve spent more than 15 years working with students and professionals around the world in executive search and career coaching, and I now teach English to learners of all ages here in Germany. I also speak C1 level Spanish and basic French and Italian.
My lessons are structured, lively and individually adapted.
I teach children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. Whether you want to build confidence, improve pronunciation, prepare for an exam or polish your Business English, I tailor each lesson to your goals and learning style. I have worked with professionals from banks and financial institutions in Frankfurt.
What my lessons are like:
• A friendly warm-up and quick review of previous topics
• A clear learning objective for each session
• Practical work on vocabulary, grammar or text comprehension
• Interactive speaking exercises, real-life scenarios and conversation
• A mix of videos, articles and role plays to keep things engaging
I believe language is learned best through structure, real communication and a bit of fun. My teaching is patient, clear and designed to help you see steady progress without feeling overwhelmed. Homework is flexible and agreed in advance, so it fits realistically around your life/work schedule.
