Über Katarina
Hello! My name is Katarina, and I am a 30-year-old PhD student in Cognitive Science with a background in Psychology. I originally come from Serbia, so SBK is my mother tongue.
I am very passionate about teaching, which is why I started a PhD and want to become a professor. I have more than 7 years of experience in teaching and mentoring students at different educational levels, and I hold a Certificate of Teaching in Higher Education.
Being a Cognitive Scientist comes not only with factual knowledge in Psychology, quantitative skills, and statistical tools, but also a strong understanding of how we learn and retain information. Therefore, I tend to be very creative in my approach, and I adapt my classes to students' individual needs.
In my free time, I am an amateur actress, a poet, and I enjoy hiking and spending time with friends.

I like to be creative in my approach and make learning fun. For that, I always come up with real-life examples and offer practical exercises. Pop culture can also be a great source for learning!
In teaching, I try to lead students to solutions by asking them questions. I believe that this approach leaves students with stronger feelings of self-efficacy than plainly sharing facts.
I have experience in teaching both High School and University students. I am flexible in finding the best approach to fit your needs and goals.
