Über Alexandre
10 years ago, I started to compose my first musical pieces. For the first time, the following question came: What to write if I allow myself to write everything? Later on, after completing my Proficiency Exam, I went to study Composition in university. I learned I could create my 'music scales'. But that was not enough. I needed a system, a form. That's when I came across with the inventor of electronic music and his creative craftwork of programming each electronic sound component intentionally. For the first time, I became in love.

After studying in Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo, I realized that students learn better when applying the learning content across various areas of knowledge. To allow the students to transfer foundational concepts of domains, guided by intuition and acquired automated desiring, a student of composition, for instance, might action parts of a piano player's Metier (without even knowing). It is known Mozart was a pianist - and a very well-known composer. What about John Adams, Pop Music, Latino Music, etc.? What about a mathematician, coming across writing songs? How can he possibly channel his background's knowledge into one, two (or more) art? Will not taking creatively all knowledge into 'one thing' (work) that can enhance someone's or surprise one audience? Leaving a lasting impact? How does all of this work? My teaching addresses the principles of piano tradition. The study of the tradition/innovation. Music composition. Philosophical-aesthetical are engageable. Working with pen and paper. Music software In short: Piano Lessons; Composition Classes; Music Theory; Electronic Music; Orchestration; Additional Contents (to define accordingly).
