Über Jack
Hi there :) My name is Jack and I'm from England. I have 15+ years experience in E-guitar, acoustic guitar, E-Bass and Ukulele. I've been a rhythm guitarist in several bands over the years. I've played festivals, tours and international shows. My main styles are folk, rock and blues but I have a comprehensive overview of all genres. I specialise in finger-style, composition and providing rounded musical theory knowledge. I like to let the student's interests shape the lessons. I find there's nothing more demotivating than learning things you simply don't care about. This means the student must take a more active role in finding material to learn. Once they find it, I will help with technique, understanding and personal discipline. For younger students (7 - 11) I tend to work with books and slowly tailor the experience to their interests. For Beginners: - Open chords - playing simple melodies - blues / folk - Reading TABS - Reading notation - Music theory basics For intermediates: - Barre chords / inversion - playing riffs / soloing - finger picking - writing TABS / notation - Further music theory
