Über Leonie
I am about to complete my Master's degree in clinical Neurpsychology. I have been studying in english now for almost five years. In my free time I organize a lot a trips for children and work as a language course leader. I really enjoy travelling and getting to know more cultures. When I was 16 years old I spent one year living in Calgary, Canada. This was a really enriching experince for me and it taught me to be confident, independent and to belive in my english skills.
Next to my studies I have a passion for playing tennis, reading fantasy books and skiing.

Since I started studying in English, at the Rijksuniversiteit in the Netherlands I became really passionate about the language. As English is also my second language I know how difficult and challenging it can be to learn a new language. In my free time I work for a company that offers englisch courses abroad. I love supporting students and helping them on their journey to become comfortable speaking English. My experience taught me that children often could do better in English class if they would not feel embarrassed for making mistakes. This is the reason why it is really cruical for me to provide a supporting environment for them. I always tailor the lessons around the students needs and wishes. This can range from learning grammer,having an American histroy lesson, to reading texts and having discussions about them.
As I am finishing my Master's degree right now, I also have a lot of experience with academic writing and reading, that might be helpful for anybody that is struggeling with writing CV's or preparing for interviews in the academic field. I learned to love english and I hope I can make you love it too.
