Über Monika
I'm a certified teacher (CELTA, Cambridge English Qualification) from Lithuania, but currently based in Berlin.
I gained my teaching experience in various countries, such as Turkey, Lithuania, Brazil, Canada and Israel. I have a wide range of interests and I'm also interested in getting to know other people! That's why I love teaching.
I speak Russian and Lithuanian.

What makes my lessons engaging is speaking and discussing. Ideally during my lessons the student speaks 70-90% of the time and only in English. My teaching is called 'student-centered'. Speaking is always in a context of a certain topic which also facilitates vocabulary learning. I use all sorts of material, including textbooks, however I don't blindly follow them.
I aim at establishing a good rapport in my lessons, as from my experience it significantly improves the learning processs. I care about each of my student and I respond to each of my student's learning needs.
At the end of the lesson I provide each student with a feedback and we discuss the speaking mistakes together.
I can help you to improve your speaking, grammar, reading or listening skills. I also teach business English and medical English.
