Über Owen
As a recent graduate in philosophy and politics from the University of Leeds, I'm aiming to make some money with my passion of Chess. Playing on the university team my Chess ability is excellent and I gained valuable experience teaching students the fundamentals of chess. At 2000 rated I am among the top 1% of Chess players and seek to share this knowledge with those seeking to elevate their game. Having previous experience as a tutor both in person and online I am an excellent listener and tailor lessons and materials to my clients. At a chess player of any level can help you improve your skills and take your playing to the next step.

Lessons vary on student level. Beginner lessons would focus more on the fundamentals of chess, using puzzles and positions to explore ideas, before tackling basic openings. Intermediate lessons would include more of a dive into the functions and purpose of certain openings, as well as analyzing past games and positions. Advanced players would discuss the area of their game they seek to improve the most, but would likely include some theory discussion and game analysis with help by an online engine.
