Über Erik
I am a university student at Central European University studying Culture, Politics, and Society. I am a native English speaker with an international background, having lived and studied in Canada, India, Thailand, USA, and now Austria. I also grew up in a bilingual environment, learning French from a young age and reaching an advanced (C1) level. Through my academic experience and work with students, I have developed strong communication skills and enjoy helping others build confidence in their learning.

My approach to teaching French and English focuses on making the language usable and engaging from the start. Having studied in a bilingual environment and reached an advanced level, I understand both the challenges students face and effective ways to improve.
I prioritize active learning, with a focus on speaking and comprehension alongside clear, accessible grammar explanations. I adapt lessons to each student’s needs, whether that means helping with homework and reinforcing material from school, or working independently to build skills and reach personal goals outside of a class setting.
I aim to create a supportive and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and gaining confidence. My goal is not just to teach the language, but to help students actually use it.
