Über Brian
I have nearly 25 years of experience as a guitarist, having played in funk, hip hop, and rock bands. In addition to teaching guitar, I have experience and formal training in teaching English as a foreign language. My experience in the classroom translates well to creating lesson plans and teaching guitar. Music and language are very similar!
I grew up in the USA, but I have lived in many different countries over the past 12 years, including Vietnam, Australia, Mexico, Albania, and India. My wife is Austrian, and I have lived in Vienna for 1.5 years now. I think that my experience with diverse people and cultures makes me better able to relate and connect with a wide variety of students.

My lessons are individualized and structured based on your goals and interests. Helping learners make progress in the areas they are excited about is my favorite part of teaching, whether that's learning music theory, covering favorite songs, writing songs, improvising, fingerpicking, or anything else related to music.
My teaching style is encouraging, supportive, and attentive. I believe that learning to be a better musician is most effective when it is enjoyable!
Whether you're a beginner or a more advanced player who wants to get to the next level, I can help!
Lessons with me are in English, as my German is still improving :)
