Über Jane
My name is Jane Vernon, and I was born in the USA, in Chicago, but grew up in a small suburb of that city.
I have been retired from my job as an English teacher in Germany, where I have lived most of my life, for 12 years.
I feel at home in Germany and speak German fluently.
My hope is that our world will become a better place for all of us. Any initiatives in this direction are worth supporting in my opinion.

The joy of sharing and learning with and from others is my passion and my talent. I get great results in teaching English by taking off from wherever the starting point of the client may be. For beginners, this means breaking learning blocks, relaxing from the fear of making mistakes. For advanced learners, it means setting challenges and stimulating higher levels of proficiency.
Describing pictures, reading simple texts and role-playing for beginners; analyzing, discussing and summarizing articles for advanced learners and professionals along with tips on grammar, pronunciation and intonation - these are the tools. But at the heart of the art is opening to the learner a vision of himself or herself as able and capable of advancing and succeeding in reaching his or her goals with respect to learning English.
