Über Rachel

—----- My Philosophy on Language Learning —-----

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from years of language learning, it’s this:
>> Embrace process over perfection.
If you strive for perfection>it will own you.
But if you embrace the process> you will own it.

What does embracing the process look like?
Slowing down and being intentional with what you want to learn
️ Enjoying your learning & getting into a natural language flow—absorbing and using it with ease
Progressing naturally and seeing results faster
Owning your process

--------- A Note to My Lovely Future Sandbox Students -------

As a learner of multiple languages, I’ve experienced firsthand the discouragement and frustration that can come from stiff language learning methods. Being limited to exhaustive vocabulary memorization and isolated grammar study isn’t only demotivating, it is also disabling when it comes to navigating real-life conversations. I don’t want your experience in learning English to be like that!

You should be able to have fun in English class and express the things you want to say; try things, play, get comfortable, and become confident with your English!
So, bring your thoughts, bring your 'inner child,' and bring yourself into English class!

~Rachel

—-------What I Bring to the 'Sandbox'—-----

English Native Speaker, TEFL-certified English Tutor, and multilingual abilities in: Korean, German and Spanish (interm./upper interm level) and currently learning Japanese! (complete beginner). Offering 'Conversation Style' lessons for all ages and levels: a relaxed and engaging teaching approach tailored to your genuine interests and learning needs! Whether you're a complete beginner or an intermediate-level speaker wanting to improve, you've come to the right place!

—-------Conversation: A Game-Changer Method—-------

Forget rigid, perfectionistic learning. Comprehensive, process-based learning is where real progress happens.
The Key? A natural, uncontrolled conversation where relevance determines content.
The Method? Seamless input/output circulation for deep, lasting retention.
The Power Combo? Socio-linguistic focus + cognitive stimulation for maximum engagement.

-----What Does a Typical ‘Sandbox Class’ Look Like?-----

In our sessions, we have relaxed conversations—letting curiosity and interest determine the content you learn.
Grammar, expressions, and vocabulary come up naturally, and we engage with them organically.

After just one month of weekly sessions, you will have ‘deep-learned’ because:
°We focused on topics relevant to you
°You encountered vocabulary and grammar in a meaningful, real-life context
°You had space to output what you learned—reinforcing it through use

>>and let’s not forget—conversation activates the two most powerful language skills—*speaking and *listening and you can bet that prioritizing *these skills will level-up your English pronunciation/accent as well!

The goal is always to work smarter, not harder!
