Über Gizem
Hi, I’m Gizem, nice to meet you! :)
I'm originally from Istanbul, Turkey, but I've been moving around the globe ever since I was a child! I spent a big chunk of my childhood in Moscow, Russia, followed by my adolescence in my hometown of Istanbul. After graduating high school, I moved to the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria, and have been residing here ever since.
All this moving around gave me a fascination for languages, and as of right now I speak Russian, Turkish, English, German, Azerbaijani, and Ukrainian (hoping to add Spanish to the list soon!).
I believe languages play a crucial part in human connection and communication, and I want to share as much of my knowledge with others as possible. My passion for learning quickly turned into a passion for teaching, which led me to complete my CELTA certification in September of 2025.

My main goal as a teacher is to help students achieve measurable progress with each and every lesson. To achieve this, I take a student-centered approach and focus on allowing the students to actively interact with the learning material and the language itself on their own, while I guide them through the process. I always maintain a pleasant and supportive learning environment, which enables my students to feel comfortable and confident practicing their English skills.
During our trial lesson, we will assess your current language level and discuss your goals and expectations, so that I can tailor our future lessons according to your needs.
