Über Vina
I am an adaptable young professional and experienced peer tutor with a strong international background from Blindern VGS, now bringing my skills to the Swiss educational system. Fluent in English, Norwegian, and Kurdish, I leverage my extensive coursework in mathematics, sciences, and humanities alongside my leadership experience running school events and community workshops to deliver highly organized, creative, and engaging lessons. My unique transition from demanding academic programs into a practical Swiss apprenticeship allows me to relate deeply to students, helping them break down complex concepts, build confidence, and achieve their specific learning goals.

My Teaching Methodology & TechniquesActive Problem-Solving: Students tackle problems actively rather than just listening to lectures.Concept Mapping: Visual breakdowns turn complex topics into simple, step-by-step guides.Scaffolded Learning: Big academic challenges are split into manageable daily goals.Real-World Connections: Theoretical math and science concepts are linked directly to practical Swiss apprenticeship examples.Multilingual Explanations: Concepts can be clarified in English, Norwegian, or Kurdish to ensure total understanding.Typical Course of a Lesson (60 Minutes)00–10 Minutes: Reviewing previous homework and addressing immediate sticky points.10–30 Minutes: Core concept introduction using visual anchors and interactive examples.30–50 Minutes: Guided practice where the student leads and I provide real-time feedback.50–60 Minutes: Summary of key takeaways and setting a clear, low-stress independent task.My Special Features as a TeacherRelatable Peer Mentor: Having navigated both demanding international schooling and the Swiss apprenticeship system, I understand student pressure.Strong Communication Skills: Built directly through leading student organizations and managing large-scale school events.Highly Tailored Pace: Lessons adapt dynamically to the student's unique learning speed and energy levels.Target AudienceSchool Levels: Primary school, secondary school (Sekundarstufe I), and lower high school students.Special Focus: Students needing to build confidence in mathematics, sciences, or multilingual communication.
