Über Alara
Hi everyone! I’m Alara, and I’m so excited to meet you!
I graduated from Boğaziçi University, one of the top universities in Turkey, with a degree in Science Education. I’ve been tutoring students for over 10 years, and I’ve worked with more than 50 students throughout my teaching journey.
I teach mathematics and science, including physics, chemistry, and biology, and I can explain these subjects in English, too.
But for me, teaching is about much more than just solving problems or memorizing formulas. I want to help you understand the logic behind what you’re learning and feel confident in your abilities.
I also see myself as a mentor. I’ll follow your progress, help you identify areas where you need more practice, and support you in reaching your goals step by step. And of course, we’ll adapt our lessons to your needs and learning style!
Outside teaching, I love travelling, exploring new places, trying different foods, discovering cute cafés, and doing Pilates.

I have over 10 years of private tutoring experience and have worked with more than 50 students, helping them build confidence, improve their academic performance, and develop a genuine understanding of what they learn.
For me, teaching is about much more than explaining a topic. I see myself as both a teacher and a mentor. I follow my students’ progress closely, help them set realistic goals, identify their weak points, and stay motivated along the way. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs because I believe everyone learns differently! My goal is to create a supportive and comfortable environment where you feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving step by step. I can also teach mathematics and science subjects in English, making lessons a great fit for students studying in an English-speaking environment.
