Über Tom
Hey! My name is Tom, I’m an experienced guitar teacher and have recently moved over to Berlin from Ireland.
Before moving to Berlin, I was a guitar teacher full time, working in music schools in Ireland. I have a bachelor's degree focused on guitar and experience teaching students of all ages and abilities.
I also have experience teaching students with special needs, such as autism.
On a personal level, I’m a very calm and friendly guy who is super passionate about teaching guitar, playing guitar and really just anything to do with guitars! I’m really keen to continue teaching guitar here and so I’m ready to take on some new students.
When playing for myself, I love to play in a modern blues style that also contains funk, jazz and fusion influences. I’m very passionate about improvisation and concepts related to these styles, so I always enjoy going into these kinds of things in lessons with anyone who’s interested.
If you would like to watch a few clips of me playing, you can check out my Instagram. (versteckte Information) I’m not the best with videos and the social media game, but it’ll give you an idea.

There’s no limit to what we can look at in lessons. I've studied and taught many styles of music and many styles of both electric and acoustic guitar playing.
Maybe you want to learn to strum your favourite acoustic pop songs or maybe you’d rather fingerpick your favourite Chet Atkins tunes! Or maybe you’re more into electric and you want to be able to burn through your favourite SRV licks or chug through some heavy Metallica riffs. Or maybe you just want to brush up on some guitar theory or work on certain techniques. Whatever it is, I’ve got you!
I’m going to be teaching lessons from my nice living room in Wedding (or online via webcam). My flat is located just a few minutes walking from U Seestr.
I always aim to create as comfortable an atmosphere for lessons as possible. There will be tea or coffee or juice or whatever you like! I also like to be flexible as much as possible. We can talk about a length of lesson that suits you. As a general rule I will offer 30 minute (20eur) 45 minute (25 eur) or 1 hour (30 eur) lessons, but again, we can always talk about this further.
Many thanks,
Tom
