Über Benattia
I am Kamil Benattia, a Bachelor's student in Mathematics at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). I was admitted to the EPFL mathematics program after completing the Cours de mathématiques spéciales (CMS) with 5.5/6 in Analysis and 4.75/6 in Algebra. This followed my baccalaureate, which I obtained with an overall average of 18/20 and a perfect score of 20/20 in Mathematics.
For the past year, I have provided regular mathematics tutoring to final-year high school students preparing for their baccalaureate exams, as well as to students requiring structured support at various levels. My experience includes helping students who need to rebuild foundational understanding as well as those aiming for top-tier results.
My teaching approach is built on three pillars:
An initial diagnostic to identify precise conceptual or methodological gaps;
Concise theoretical review, adapted to the student's current level;
Progressive exercise practice to consolidate understanding and foster autonomy.
I offer lessons from middle school through CMS and first-year EPFL level. Sessions can take place online or in person in Lausanne/EPFL, individually or in small groups (2–3 students).
My objective is to enable lasting progress through genuine conceptual understanding—moving beyond mechanical procedures toward reasoned problem-solving.

My name is Benattia Kamil and I am a Bachelor’s student in Mathematics at EPFL. I completed the EPFL “Cours de mathématiques spéciales” (CMS) with 5.5/6 in Analysis and 4.75/6 in Algebra, after obtaining the Algerian baccalaureate with an overall average of 18/20 and 20/20 in Mathematics.
I already have one year of experience helping final‑year high‑school students prepare for their maths baccalaureate and providing regular support in mathematics. I work both with students who are struggling and need to regain confidence, and with motivated students aiming for top grades.
I offer maths lessons from middle school up to CMS / first‑year EPFL level: understanding the course, guided exercises, test and exam preparation, and intensive revision. I adapt to each student’s level and goals and build a clear, realistic study plan together with them.
My teaching method: a short diagnostic at the beginning to identify weaknesses, simple and targeted theory reminders, then lots of practice exercises to make real progress and become more independent. I take the time to explain things in different ways until the concept is truly understood.
Lessons can be held online (Zoom/Teams) or in person in Lausanne / at EPFL, individually or in small groups (2–3 students).
My rate is 25 CHF per hour, with a free 1h first lesson to get to know each other, define the goals, and organise the next steps.
