Hi there! I'm Marissa, a graduate student at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, currently pursuing my MSc in Strategy, Innovation & Management Control. I also hold a Master of International Business from Queen's University in Canada and an Honors Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa. With 6 years of tutoring experience in English (both Canadian and American English), combined with my professional background in marketing, sales, and consulting, I’ve developed a strong command of the English language—especially in reading, writing, comprehension, essay writing, academic reading, and business communication.

I tailor my lessons to each student's specific goals, whether that’s academic improvement, enhanced writing skills, or conversational fluency.
A typical lesson begins with a review of previous material to reinforce retention. From there, I introduce new content based on the student's needs—whether that’s reading comprehension, writing exercises, or vocabulary and grammar work. Lessons also include practical applications such as essay writing, verbal presentations, or comprehension exercises based on real-world texts. To build verbal fluency and confidence, we engage in conversations or debates. I provide detailed, constructive feedback at the end of each lesson, giving students clear action points for continued improvement.
As a teacher, I bring extensive experience tutoring English to students aged 10-20, across varying skill levels. With a multicultural background and experience tutoring both French and English, my lessons are adaptable for bilingual or international students. I am patient, adaptable, and dedicated to helping students build confidence in their language skills. My background in both academic and professional communication allows me to offer a well-rounded approach to tutoring. I strive to make lessons enjoyable and personalized, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.
