Über Montel
As a global citizen keen on helping children and youth achieve their highest potential, I gained a well-rounded skill set by honing my talents both through professional teaching in schools and through volunteering with NGOs in Brazil and the Philippines. This background led me to gain a Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy, as well as several ESL certifications (TESOL, TEFL, etc.), leading to ample recognition as an English Teacher in my native Amazonian city of Belém, Brazil.
I am a strong advocate of language learning as a tool to enable students to find their place in the world and to do so with excellence, collaboration, and respect for diversity. That's why I've placed a special emphasis on fostering creativity and active listening throughout my previous roles. This framework strengthened my own capabilities in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. As a result, my classes often had the highest enrolment and retention rates of the ESL schools where I worked (Wizard by Pearson, Castilla and American School of Languages).

A global citizen with a multicultural background, Montel has been an English Language Acquisition teacher since 2018. With a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, his student-centered teaching style focuses on active listening to foster a creative and collaborative environment for children and pre-teens to hone their skills and achieve their full potential.
The lesson structure depends on your needs and wishes, therefore, it will not follow a strict rulebook. Of course, Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing will be taught, but the focus will really depend on what you want.
I usually use the Communicative-language approach, which means, you will be speaking in English from the first moment of our lesson.
Each lesson lasts 50 minutes.
