Über Nilda
I don’t consider myself as a native speaker, although English was the medium of instruction in the La Salle schools and universities where I went to. I speak four languages Including English. After passing the CPA (certified public accountants Board exams), I worked for Price Waterhouse for a short time. Thereafter, I realized I was more inclined to teaching so that I attended a masteral program ( Master’s in values education) to acquire some teaching skills. I then spent some years giving lectures to teachers after the program. When I moved to Germany a little over 20 years ago, I started teaching at a VHS and private companies. I prefer conducting classes with materials by British and American publishers.

I use a variety of materials to develop the learners‘ specific language skills. Before the lockdowns due to covid, I attended teacher training courses in the USA & Canada. Those courses were in San Francisco (more than once at St. Giles), New York (at Rennert) and Vancouver (at St. Giles). I have visited several other cities in both countries on varied occasions to stay with my siblings‘ families for a few weeks. Those visits were in Dallas, Washington DC, Toronto, Montreal and Edmonton. Traveling to several other English-speaking countries has always been fun for me. As much as possible, I take advantage of any chances to spend some time for professional development whenever I am abroad.
